About
I’m Mihai Chereji and this is my blagoblag. There are many like it, but this is my own.
I live, study and work in London, UK. I was born and previously lived in Romania.
I love music, in many many forms. I’ll sometimes write about it here, but you can get a more in-depth view of my tastes from last.fm. I also kinda play the guitar, synths and piano. I also “sing” (notice the quotes). For the last 4 or 5 years my New Year’s resolution is “this year I’ll put out my first album.”
What is a ‘cronco’?
Cronco is short for ‘croncobaur’ (you’ll find me online maybe as either cronco or croncobaurul). It’s a made up animal (like the jakalope or the unicorn). My father told me he heard about it from a song roughly translated as “Dance of the turbulent Croncobaur”, performed by the band of a guitarist from around here, Sorin Chifiriuc. You can listen to the song, if you’re as curios as I was (I’ll just assume you aren’t). I ended up using it as an online moniker when I was about 13 or 14 and short on inspiration, and it just stuck afterwards.
